I do not remember what birds these were, but from looking at the silhouettes, I would guess that they are Snowy Egrets. This photo was taken at Lakes Park in Fort Myers, Florida.

Two pictures of an Anhinga, one in black and white, the other in color with some turtle friends below. Anhinga are known for swimming underwater to catch fish and other sea life. They spread their wings like this to dry them out.
